Plastic Stereo Card Viewer (Lorgnette)

NSA (National Stereo Association) members will recognize this as the viewer offered to view the pairs in Stereo World Magazine.   This lorgnette has the popular flip up brow feature and can be used to view pairs up to 4" wide (8" total, any height). 

The viewer is made for viewing Holmes cards (the most popular format of stereo prints) and can be used for smaller cards.  It is prismatic, made of a high quality plastic and can be used to view the reproduction Holmes cards, and the images in some of the books that we offer (Back to Basics and the Civil War in Depth).

This may be one of the easiest ways to start photographing in 3D.  Take pictures using the cha-cha method with an ordinary camera and send the results to family and friends. The handy brow feature ensures that the viewer will rest properly on the user's bridge for carefree stereo viewing by even the most inexperienced user.

Many stereo photographers put their images on the web in parallel viewing format for easy viewing with the lorgnette (pronounced lorn-yet).  Popular stereo image computer formats offer the option of parallel viewing as it has better color viewing options than anaglyph (red/blue images) due to the absence of color shift.

AOViewer

This small viewer is for stereo cards of less than 8 inches in total width.  It does not have a bridge piece but works OK for small stereo pairs in books and for 4 x 6 and smaller prints made with the 3D lens in cap, Loreo MKII and stereo beamsplitters.
