3D-DVD PlaybackRecommended DecodersStereoscopic Player and Tridef are the only software available which can play 3D-DVDs. However, Stereoscopic Player does not provide its own decoders, so you have to install third party DVD decoders first. We recommend the following free decoders. Click on the following links to download them:
Important: The GPL MPEG-1/2 Decoder does not play encrypted (copy protected) discs. AC3Filter decodes Dolby Digital soundtracks but not DTS or MPEG soundtracks. After installing both decoder, click File->Settings->General in Stereoscopic Player and select them as DVD video and audio decoders. Please note that these settings affect DVD playback only, not MPEG file playback! Decoder OverviewThe following DVD video decoders have been tested to comply with Stereoscopic Player. Only the GPL MPEG Decoder and the Moonlight-Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder will be automatically configured by Stereoscopic Player. If you use any of the other decoders, you have to disable deinterlacing manually when playing interlaced 3D-DVDs.
In opposite to video decoders, it is not critical which audio decoders to use for 3D-DVD playback. All tested audio decoders worked fine. If you want to enable SPDIF output, you should either use AC3Filter, the InterVideo Audio Decoder or the NVIDIA Audio Decoder. After you have opened the DVD, click File->Audio Decoder Properties and select the SPDIF option.
