Why do you need stereo 3D software?
First, it should be mentioned that stereo 3D software is not needed to use
the PokeScope 3D Viewer. The PokeScope 3D Viewer works with printed or digital
stereo images with or without stereo 3D software. Even so, you'll be glad to
have stereo 3D software when viewing stereo images on your computer for the
reasons given below.
One of the great benefits that digital media brings to stereo imagery is that
you can select any desired stereo format at the time of viewing. This avoids any
incompatibility problems between the stereo image and your viewing hardware.
Another advantage is that high resolution stereo images can be zoomed in and
scrolled to examine any part of an image in detail, or they can be zoomed out to
view the entire image on screen. In order to enjoy these benefits, you need
software which can load and display stereo images intelligently so that you
don't have to do a lot of tedious work just to view them.
When truly user friendly stereo 3D software becomes more widely available,
stereo practitioners will surely migrate toward providing full-color,
full-resolution digital images while allowing the audience to choose the desired
format and detail at the time of viewing. This practice will ensure that the
highest quality experience is provided to the largest possible audience. |
